GMKtec has unveiled further details about its upcoming EVO-X1 mini-PC. This compact yet powerful device is set to be one of the most potent mini-PCs on the market, thanks to its AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, Radeon 890M iGPU, and support for external GPUs via OCuLink and USB4.
Performance and Connectivity
The EVO-X1 packs the same AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU as the Beelink SER9, providing comparable peak performance. The 4nm APU features four Zen 5 CPU cores (up to 5.1 GHz), eight Zen 5c cores (up to 3.3 GHz), and a 28W TDP (54W PL2).
GMKtec claims the EVO-X1 will offer a peak TDP of 70W, potentially unlocking additional performance. However, benchmarks suggest the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and Radeon 890M are more constrained by memory bandwidth than power limits. The inclusion of OCuLink and USB4 ports allows for connecting an eGPU for enhanced gaming performance.
