GMKtec has launched the NucBox K8 Plus mini PC in China with improved ports, cooling, and a higher TDP compared to the original NucBox K8.

GMKtec has unveiled the NucBox K8 Plus in China, a refreshed version of the NucBox K8 mini PC. The K8 Plus retains the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor but features improved port selection, enhanced cooling, and a higher TDP.

Key Upgrades

The NucBox K8 Plus offers several key improvements over its predecessor:

  • Two USB4 ports: Double the number of USB4 ports compared to the original K8.
  • OCuLink port: Retained from the previous model, enabling eGPU support for enhanced graphics performance.
  • Improved Cooling: A redesigned cooling system promises better thermal performance and lower noise levels.
  • Higher TDP: The K8 Plus supports a maximum TDP of 70W, up from 64W in the non-Plus model.
