After nine years on PC, Grand Theft Auto V is finally getting a significant upgrade. Rockstar Games has announced that the PC version will receive enhancements previously exclusive to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions.
While Rockstar hasn't detailed the specific improvements, the next-gen console versions feature several enhancements, including ray tracing support, which was added in December 2022. It's likely that ray tracing will be among the upgrades coming to PC.
This announcement comes after Rockstar updated GTA Online's anti-cheat system with BattlEye in the fall. Unfortunately, this update also broke compatibility with the Steam Deck.
