MachineGames has released a new deep dive video for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, highlighting the game's focus on rewarding exploration. Audio Director Pete Ward emphasized that players who enjoy venturing off the beaten path will find plenty to discover.
"When you venture into the unknown we want exploration to feel truly rewarding. We carefully crafted each environment to encourage players to uncover clues..." - Pete Ward, Audio Director
The game centers around Indiana Jones's charm and resourcefulness, sending players on a story-driven journey to uncover the mysteries of the Great Circle. This quest will lead players to ancient crypts, lost civilizations, and more.
While the main story provides clear objectives, players are encouraged to explore the richly detailed environments and uncover hidden secrets. Open areas offer the freedom to discover new missions and mysteries, drawing inspiration from classic adventure games like 1992's Fate of Atlantis.
Tools and Puzzles
Players will utilize Indiana's versatile tools, including his camera, to reveal historical insights, clues, and even puzzle hints. The in-game journal serves as a detailed record of the journey, containing maps, photos, letters, and clues for future exploration.
Puzzles are a significant element of the gameplay, ranging from smaller challenges to epic obstacles. Solving these puzzles will reward players with a sense of accomplishment and further unravel the game's mysteries.
