Intel has officially confirmed the debut of its next-generation Arc "Battlemage" GPUs, with a showcase scheduled for December 3rd, 2024. While details about the event are limited, it's expected that Intel will unveil at least two new GPUs: the Arc B580 and B570.
Expected GPUs and Specifications
The Arc B580 is rumored to have the following specifications:
- 12GB 192-bit GDDR6
- Battlemage BMG-G21 GPU (20 Xe Cores)
- Intel Xe2-HPG Architecture
- 2850 MHz Max Boost Clocks
- Intel Xe Super Sampling (Intel XeSS)
- Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (Intel XMX)
This mid-tier GPU is expected to feature 160 compute units (CUs), equivalent to around 20 Xe Cores, along with 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM on a 192-bit memory bus. It's also rumored to have a 2.8 GHz max boost clock, two 8-pin power connectors, and a price range of $250-$260. A "Limited Edition" model of the B580 is also anticipated.

Less is known about the Arc B570, but it's expected to offer similar performance to the B580, potentially with fewer Xe Cores.
Intel's December 3rd showcase should provide more information about the "Battlemage" GPUs and the company's commitment to the discrete graphics market. Stay tuned for further updates.
