Intel's upcoming 10-core Core 7 240H mobile processor has appeared on Geekbench, showcasing impressive performance that surpasses even the 14-core Core 7 250H.
The Core 7 240H was spotted in an Acer Nitro ANV15-52 gaming laptop, equipped with an RTX 4050 laptop GPU. Benchmarks reveal surprising results, with the 240H outperforming the higher core-count 250H.
Benchmark Results
Processor | Single-Core Score | Multi-Core Score |
---|---|---|
Core 7 240H | 2687/2689 | 13330/13279 |
Core 7 250H | 2415 | 13201 |
These scores even exceed those of the desktop Core Ultra 5 225F (Arrow Lake), raising questions about the latter's value proposition.
Core 7 240H Specifications
The Core 7 240H features:
- 6 Performance cores + 4 Efficient cores
- 2.5 GHz base frequency, up to 5.0 GHz boost clock
- 24 MB L3 cache
- Intel Xe iGPU with 64 Compute Units (8 Xe Cores), 1.5 GHz max clock
While the iGPU achieved decent OpenCL scores (13362/13478), the inclusion of an RTX 4050 in the tested laptop suggests it's necessary for optimal gaming performance (the RTX 4050 scored 84369 in the same test).
Intel is also planning to release the Core 200U series for ultra-low power systems. Both the 200H and 200U series are expected to launch around CES 2025.
