The iPhone 15 series dominated global smartphone sales in Q3 2024, according to the latest report from Counterpoint Research. The iPhone 15, 15 Pro Max, and 15 Pro secured the top three spots, respectively.
The findings indicate continued strong demand for high-end devices and Apple's ongoing dominance over Android competitors. Interestingly, the standard iPhone 15 accounted for half of all iPhone sales in the report, although the iPhone 15 Plus was not mentioned.
Samsung's Galaxy S24 managed to reach the 10th spot, an improvement over its predecessor's absence from the list in 2023. However, it was outperformed by more affordable devices like the Samsung Galaxy A15 (both 5G and 4G/LTE versions) and the Redmi 13C 4G.
With the recent release of the iPhone 16, it remains to be seen how the sales rankings will shift in the final quarter of 2024.
