Lenovo has introduced the X1 laptop to the Chinese market, featuring the domestically developed Zhaoxin KX-6000G processor. This laptop offers an alternative to Intel and AMD-based systems.
The Zhaoxin KX-6000G, launched two years ago, primarily targets the Chinese market. While its performance isn't on par with Intel and AMD counterparts, Lenovo is positioning the X1 as a viable option for productivity tasks. Benchmarks suggest the KX-6000G performs similarly to an Intel Core i5-5015U.
The Lenovo X1 resembles the ThinkPad X1 series with its carbon fiber construction. It's ultra-thin and lightweight, measuring just 13.9mm thick and weighing 0.99kg. The laptop features a 2.8K OLED display and a high-quality camera with privacy features. The keyboard is LED-backlit with adjustable brightness.
Detailed specifications, including RAM and storage configurations, are yet to be fully disclosed. The Zhaoxin KX-6000G is a 4-core, 4-thread processor clocked at 3.3 GHz with integrated graphics supporting DX12, OpenCL 1.2, OpenGL 4.6, and up to 4K displays. Zhaoxin is continuously working on improving processor performance, as demonstrated by their more recent KX-7000G, which shows performance closer to an Intel Core i3-10100.
