Minisforum has introduced the MGA 1, a new external GPU (eGPU) featuring the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT with 8GB of VRAM. This compact docking station is designed to boost the gaming and productivity performance of mini-PCs.
RDNA 3 Power in a Compact Design
The MGA 1 packs the Radeon RX 7600M XT, a capable GPU based on AMD's RDNA 3 architecture. While it has 8GB of VRAM compared to the desktop version's 16GB, it retains the same 128-bit memory bus and Navi 33 die, with 2048 stream processors. This makes it suitable for 1080p gaming at high settings.
Versatile Docking Station
The MGA 1's compact and vented design makes it portable and convenient for use with mini-PCs and handheld devices. Its multiple I/O ports support up to three displays simultaneously, and a 65W Power Delivery port allows for fast charging of mobile devices.
Connectivity and Performance
The MGA 1 utilizes an OCuLink 4i port to connect to mini-PCs and other devices. It also includes three USB 3.2 ports with 10 Gbps bandwidth. The eGPU is suitable for gaming, video editing, graphic design, and 3D rendering.
Pricing and Availability
The Minisforum MGA 1 is available now for US$559 from the official Minisforum online store.
