Court filings reveal Nintendo is seeking subpoenas for business records from various online platforms, including NameCheap, GoDaddy, Tucows, Cloudflare, GitHub, Discord, Google, and Reddit, to identify individuals who allegedly assisted Williams. Nintendo specifically named the SwitchPirates subreddit, which Williams moderated and boasts over 200,000 members, as a focus of the investigation. The company suspects that Williams used multiple accounts on the subreddit and that other prominent members were involved in his activities.
