These rumors emerged after some noticed the date 3-12-2024 (December 3rd, 2024) on a train schedule board in the new promotional video. This date coincides with PlayStation's 30th anniversary, leading some to believe it hinted at a State of Play event.
However, journalist Jeff Grubb, known for his accurate leaks in the PlayStation world, has denied these rumors. He stated that he hasn't heard anything suggesting an event in December.
While the 30th-anniversary celebrations might include special activities, a major announcement like a State of Play event in December seems unlikely. Such an event could have potentially revealed highly anticipated titles like Marvel's Wolverine, about which recent rumors suggested Sony was preparing to unveil new details soon.
