NVIDIA DLSS 3.8.10 Streamlines Preset Modes, Reduces File Size
NVIDIA's latest DLSS update (version 3.8.10), included with the GeForce 566.14 driver, has streamlined the number of preset profiles from four to just two, resulting in a significantly smaller DLL file size and a more optimized user experience. Previously, DLSS offered four preset modes (A, B, C, and D) tailored to different performance and quality preferences. The new update simplifies this with two presets (E and F): Preset Intended Mode(s) Description E Performance/Balanced/Quality Similar to the previous Preset D, generally favoring image stability. F Ultra Performance/DLAA Optimized for maximum performance and DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing). By reducing the preset options, NVIDIA has eliminated redundancy and shrunk the DLL file size by almost 50%. While this change is not expected to significantly impact DLSS performance, it does reduce the options available for advanced tweaking.
