Developer "Koralsky" explained on ResetERA that games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, built on Unreal Engine 4 and using SDK 9, couldn't implement the latest upscaler version (which requires SDK 10 or higher). As a result, these games may be using the earliest version of PSSR, contributing to the less-than-ideal image quality.
While specific details about the different PSSR versions remain undisclosed, Koralsky confirmed that image quality improvements are expected in future batches of PS5 Pro supported games.
