A device believed to be the Korean variant of the Samsung Galaxy S25 has been spotted on Geekbench, revealing the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor and 12GB of RAM. However, the benchmark results are less than impressive.
The Geekbench listing shows the Galaxy S25 (model number SM-S931N) running the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, clocked at 4.47 GHz (compared to 4.32 GHz for the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite). The presence of 12GB RAM suggests the tested model might be the 256GB or 512GB storage variant.
Disappointingly, the device achieved a single-core score of 2481 and a multi-core score of 8658. These scores are lower than expected, especially given the higher clock speed. Other Snapdragon 8 Elite devices typically score above 3000 and 9000 in the same tests, respectively. This could be attributed to Samsung's focus on efficiency over raw performance with its "For Galaxy" chipsets.
The Galaxy S25 series is expected to be unveiled in late January.
