Steam Hardware Survey: Anomalous Growth in October
Steam's October hardware survey reveals an unusual trend, with almost all graphics cards showing increased usage.
Valve's latest Steam hardware survey for October reveals an anomalous trend: nearly all graphics cards experienced growth in usage, a departure from the usual fluctuating patterns. This unusual growth across the board coincides with a nearly 14% increase in overall survey participants. This suggests a significant expansion of the statistical sample, although the reason for this remains unclear. Despite the unusual overall growth, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 retains its top spot with a 7.24% share (+1.53%), followed by the mobile RTX 4060 (5.44%, +1.20%) and the desktop RTX 4060 (5.06%, +0.62%). Notably, no AMD graphics cards currently feature in the top 10. The operating system landscape continues to shift, with Windows 10 declining (-2.71%) and Windows 11 rising (+4.28%). Users are also increasingly adopting 16GB of RAM (+1.43%) and eight-core processors (+1.76%). View the complete Steam Hardware Survey here .
