TCL has announced the start of mass production for its 4K OLED displays manufactured using inkjet printing (IJP) technology. This innovative approach aims to reduce production costs and facilitate the creation of larger and more uniquely shaped displays.
After 11 years of development, TCL claims its IJP technology is now ready for large-scale deployment. Initially, the company is producing 21.6-inch panels, but plans to expand to other sizes in the future.
The new 4K displays boast high color accuracy (99% DCI-P3, Delta E < 1), initially targeting the professional market. Pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
