Tesla has rolled out its Actually Smart Summon feature in Europe and the Middle East. However, unlike the version available in the US, this iteration comes with a significant range restriction.

Tesla's "Actually Smart Summon" Arrives in Europe and Middle East, But With Limitations

Actually Smart Summon allows Tesla owners to summon their cars from a parking spot to their location using the Tesla app. In the US, this feature works within a range of approximately 213 feet (65 meters). However, due to UNECE Regulation No. 79 Revision 5, which governs advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and automated driving systems (ADS), drivers in Europe and the Middle East must remain within 19.7 feet (6 meters) of their vehicle while using the feature.

This limitation severely restricts the practicality of Actually Smart Summon in these regions, making it more of a novelty than a genuinely useful tool.

The launch of Actually Smart Summon might signal the imminent arrival of FSD (Supervised) in Europe and other regions. In the US, Tesla released both features simultaneously. This could indicate that the wider rollout of FSD (Supervised) is just around the corner.

While European drivers might be disappointed with the limited version of Actually Smart Summon, Canadian Tesla owners are still awaiting its release altogether.
