TSMC has reportedly reached full capacity for its 5nm and 3nm chip production, driven by high demand from NVIDIA, Apple, and MediaTek.

TSMC has reportedly reached 100% utilization for its 5nm and 3nm chip production lines, solidifying its dominant position in the semiconductor market. This high demand is fueled by orders from major players like NVIDIA, Apple, and MediaTek.

TSMC Achieves 100% Utilization for 5nm and 3nm Production

According to a report by Ctee, TSMC's 5nm production capacity is fully booked, largely due to NVIDIA's demand for its Blackwell B200 series AI GPUs. NVIDIA is projected to ship 200,000 B200 GPUs by the end of the year, making them a priority for TSMC. The company plans to further increase 5nm production with its upcoming Arizona facility in late 2024.

TSMC's sub-3nm nodes are also seeing high demand, primarily from Apple and MediaTek for their mobile chips. The strong adoption of 3nm technology further contributes to TSMC's growing semiconductor revenue. With NVIDIA also employing 3nm for high-end AI servers, the technology is poised for wider market adoption and continued success.

TSMC's full utilization of its advanced nodes highlights its market leadership and leaves competitors like Samsung, struggling with yield issues, far behind.
