The upcoming AMD Radeon RX 9070 series graphics cards, including the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070, are rumored to stick with traditional 8-pin power connectors rather than mandating the newer 16-pin 12V-2x6 connector.

Power Connector Speculations
According to sources like Benchlife, AMD is not planning to require the 12V-2x6 connector, an updated version designed to address the melting issues seen with NVIDIA's RTX 4090. However, this doesn't rule out cards from other manufacturers using the new standard. ASRock, for example, offered Radeon RX 7000 series cards with this connector.
There's also a chance we might see Radeon RX 9070 XT cards with three 8-pin power connectors, similar to some Radeon RX 7900 models.
Launch and Specifications
The Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 are expected to launch by the end of January, before the Lunar New Year. Leaks also suggest that both will ship with 16GB of memory.
