AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT: Up to 3.1 GHz Boost, 330W TBP
A recent leak from Chiphell suggests that the upcoming AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card could reach a boost clock of up to 3.1 GHz. The card's Total Board Power (TBP) is also rumored to range from 260W to 330W, depending on the specific model. Power consumption is often considered a key indicator of a graphics card's performance tier. A card consuming around 300W is typically expected to perform similarly to other models in that power range. Clock Speeds and TBP According to leaker Zhangzhonghao, the reference (public) version of the Radeon RX 9070 XT will have a TBP of around 260W. Custom models from board partners, however, may go as high as 330W. This represents a significant 70W difference. The leaker also claims the base clock of the GPU is around 2.8 GHz, with boost clocks ranging from 3.0 to 3.1 GHz. Performance Expectations With a 260W TBP, the RX 9070 XT is expected to slot in between the next-generation RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 in terms of power consumption. The leaker…
