AMD has updated its FidelityFX Software Development Kit (SDK) to version 1.1.3, introducing FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 3.1.3 and several improvements for developers.
FSR 3.1.3 Enhancements
FSR 3.1.3 includes:
- Fixes for issues in FSR 3.1.1 and 3.1.2
- Opt-in hybrid spin lock pacing support
- Updated Frame Interpolation sample for Microsoft GDK (Xbox development)
The update focuses on stability and compatibility rather than performance or visual quality enhancements.
FidelityFX SDK 1.1.3 Updates
Beyond FSR 3.1.3, the SDK 1.1.3 update includes:
- General cleanup in Frame Interpolation backend
- Letterbox changes for Vulkan
- Removal of Vulkan binding shifts to resolve compile issues
- Fixes for backbuffer sampling in GAME_MOTION_VECTOR_FIELD pass
- General framework fixes and updates
- Typo fixes
- VRAM query added to Vulkan
- Vulkan queue selection and behavior changes
- Removal of unused distortion texture channels
- New debug lines for testing pacing
- Separate backbuffer and hudless formats enabled
- Typeless format support for DX12/GDK
- Exposed frame pacing tunings (including hybrid spinlock option)
- Fix for UpdateTileMappings() deadlock
