AMD Strix Halo APU Matches Ryzen 9 7950X Performance
Leaked benchmarks show AMD's Strix Halo Ryzen AI MAX 395+ APU matching the desktop Ryzen 9 7950X, powering the new ASUS ROG Flow Z13 laptop.
AMD's upcoming Strix Halo APU, the Ryzen AI MAX 395+, has surfaced on Geekbench with performance comparable to the desktop Ryzen 9 7950X processor. This high-performance APU is expected to power the new ASUS ROG Flow Z13 laptop, set to debut at CES. The Ryzen AI MAX 395+ reportedly delivers a 22% performance boost over the previous-generation Ryzen 9 7945HX. The Strix Halo APUs will combine Zen 5 cores with a powerful RDNA 3.5 integrated GPU on a single chip. The top-end Radeon 8060S integrated GPU is rumored to feature up to 40 Compute Units (CUs) and support for fast LPDDR5X-8000 memory. Strix Halo is a unique product line and should not be confused with the flagship Fire Range series. Performance Benchmarks The test bench featured the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 "GZ302EA" laptop.
