ASRock has announced two new Phantom Gaming monitors featuring a blistering 520Hz refresh rate with IPS panels. These monitors, the PG27FFX2A and PG27FFX1B, are aimed at competitive gamers seeking high refresh rates at a 1080p resolution.
520Hz Refresh Rate
Both monitors feature a 520Hz refresh rate, promising ultra-smooth motion with minimal tearing or lag. This high refresh rate is designed to provide competitive gamers with a visual advantage by allowing them to capture even the most subtle movements in real-time.
The monitors are 27-inch with a 1920x1080 resolution. ASRock has confirmed that image quality meets the VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.
Key Differences
The main difference between the two models is that the PG27FFX2A includes built-in antennas supporting up to Wi-Fi 7, intended to extend the range of existing network cards. The PG27FFX1B does not have these integrated Wi-Fi antennas.
It's also worth noting that ASRock released OLED 520Hz gaming monitors earlier in 2024, potentially indicating that we may see new monitor technology at their 2025 CES event.
