ASUS has confirmed a January 6th launch date at CES 2025 for its latest ROG Strix laptop, which will feature a new design with an RGB light strip that wraps around the entire chassis, a significant upgrade from previous models that featured RGB on three sides.
The new lighting is expected to integrate with ASUS's Aura RGB Sync software, allowing for customized lighting effects and synchronization with other Aura-compatible peripherals like headphones and mice.
ASUS has made RGB lighting a major feature, and are pushing it to the limit. However, they can only do so much without using fully translucent materials.
Expected Hardware
Leaked details suggest that the new Strix laptops will be equipped with soon-to-be-released processors, including AMD's Ryzen 7040HX from the Dragon Range series and Intel's Core Ultra 200HX or 200H from the Arrow Lake lineup. Additionally, the upcoming models will be the first in the ROG Strix series to feature NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs.
