Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room, developers of the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, have announced that details regarding post-launch content expansions will be shared in 2025.
The news came as part of the final 2024 developer diary, which focused on the game's sound design. Future diaries, resuming next year, will cover customization options, weapon systems, the release date, and, importantly, plans for DLC. This suggests confidence in the game's potential and a commitment to supporting it post-launch.
Bloodlines 2 has had a notoriously difficult development. Originally in development at Hardsuit Labs, the project was eventually handed over to The Chinese Room after nearly being canceled. The game has undergone significant changes, including a shift in the protagonist and storyline, but retains its Seattle setting.
While the initial release will feature four playable clans (Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim, and Ventrue), more are planned for post-launch content. The game is tentatively scheduled for release in the first half of 2025.
