Speaking with Digital Foundry, Principal Rendering Engineer Michal Drobot explained that the issues, which include white flickering pixels and smearing of fine details, are caused by PSSR not being properly fine-tuned for denoising. While the PSSR implementation works well for anti-aliasing, it struggles to denoise the flicker created by shadows, variable rate shading, and SSR. The fix is already in the pipeline and will be rolled out once it passes QA.

In addition to confirming the upcoming fix, Digital Foundry has published an in-depth analysis of how the development team has improved the game on the PS5 Pro compared to the base model and how the engine has been enhanced for this latest installment. The full analysis can be found here.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One.

Treyarch has delivered a strong Call of Duty entry this year, with Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes being some of the best they've been in years. While some players may have concerns about the new Omnimovement system, it adds a dynamic feel to the game, creating a more personal action movie experience.
