Overclocker achieves stable DDR5 speeds of 8600 MT/s on an AMD X670E platform, paired with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU.
DDR5 Overclocked to 8600 MT/s on AMD X670E Platform
An overclocker has successfully pushed DDR5 memory to a stable 8600 MT/s on an AMD X670E platform, demonstrating impressive performance on the previous-gen chipset. Stable Overclocking with SK Hynix Memory The overclocking feat was achieved using SK Hynix DDR5 memory, paired with an ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E GENE motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU. The memory, which had a default speed of 5600 MT/s, was pushed to 4300 MHz, or 8600 MT/s. While the motherboard officially supports up to 8000 MT/s, this overclocker was able to push the limits with excellent stability. The overclocked memory passed the ETR memory test and RunMemTestPro multiple times with zero errors. However, when the overclocker tried to reach 8800 MT/s, the tests resulted in a 40% failure rate. This indicates that 8600 MT/s is the sweet spot for stability on this particular configuration. While this 8600 MT/s speed was achieved with what looks like a single RAM module, achieving this speed with dual sticks could be m…
