Garmin Fenix 7/7 Pro Updates: Bug Fixes and Connect IQ Crash Fix Incoming

Garmin has released new stable updates for the Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro, and Tactix 7, with a Connect IQ crash fix already in beta testing.

Garmin has rolled out new stable updates (System Software 19.38) for the Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro, and Tactix 7 smartwatches. However, a follow-up update is already in beta testing to address a Connect IQ crash issue.

System Software 19.38 Bug Fixes

The 19.38 update focuses on resolving several existing bugs:

  • Workout schedule mismatch with Garmin Connect
  • Incorrect weekly totals after changing the "First Day of Week" setting
  • Missing pan/zoom icons on the map
  • Sleep mode re-enabling after sleep tracking
  • Potential shutdown when saving/discarding activities
  • Untranslated workout names in some languages

Connect IQ Crash Fix in Beta

Despite beta testing, System Software 19.38 introduced a bug that can cause the Connect IQ application to crash. Garmin has released Beta Version 19.40 with a fix for this issue. It's recommended to wait for the 19.40 update to become stable before updating, which is expected within the next few days.
