Geekom, known for its mini PCs, is preparing to launch its first ARM-based model, the QS Series, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite SoC. This new offering could pose a challenge to Apple's M4-powered Mac Mini.
A leaked teaser image on Weibo reveals the QS Series' design, resembling a typical mini PC with a Mac Mini-esque enclosure. Details are scarce, but the teaser confirms the Snapdragon X Elite SoC.
Pricing and availability remain unknown, but pricing will be a critical factor in the QS Series' success. The 12-core Snapdragon X Elite offers performance comparable to Apple's M4 in many benchmarks. While software support for the platform is still a concern, it's generally sufficient for casual users.
More information about the Geekom QS Series is expected soon. In the meantime, you can check out the M4 Mac Mini on Amazon.
