Gigabyte is reportedly preparing to announce a new series of AMD B850 motherboards, expected to be unveiled at CES 2025. Leaks have already revealed three models, all part of the AORUS ELITE series.
AORUS ELITE Lineup
The leaked motherboards are all ATX form factor designs featuring a black and white color scheme. The "ICE" version has an all-white design with silver accents, including the PCB. The non-ICE versions retain the popular black and silver aesthetic. It's rumored that their specifications will be identical.
The ATX version of the B850 AORUS ELITE will feature three PCIe x16 connectors, one more than the previously leaked Micro-ATX version. It will also include four DDR5 memory DIMM slots and at least three M.2 slots, likely hidden under a cover or heatsink.
Other key differences compared to the Micro-ATX model include WiFi 7 support (vs. WiFi 6E), as well as a bundled antenna. While full specifications are unavailable, the primary SSD slot will support PCIe 5.0 according to AMD's specs. B850 will support CPU and memory overclocking, but lack USB4 support.
