GPD has updated the Win Max 2 handheld gaming PC for 2025, featuring AMD's latest Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, along with several other improvements.
Performance Boost and Efficiency
The 2025 Win Max 2 offers a choice between the existing Ryzen 7 8840U and the new Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 boasts a 30% theoretical performance increase over the Ryzen 7 8840U, while its Radeon 890M iGPU offers a 15% gaming performance boost compared to the Radeon 780M. Importantly, the new APU is expected to deliver this performance more efficiently at lower TDPs.
Display, Ports, and Memory Upgrades
Beyond the APU, the Win Max 2 2025 features several other enhancements:
- Brighter Display: 450 nits (up from 400 nits)
- Additional USB4 Port: Now features two USB4 ports
- Upgraded USB-A Ports: Now features USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- Faster RAM: LPDDR5X-7500 MT/s
