The teaser image reveals a car resembling the Saloon EV Concept from the previous year, with similar LED taillights, a diffuser-mounted brake light, and illuminated Honda lettering. The second prototype is a boxy SUV, possibly similar in size to the Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9. It features a long wheelbase, a vertical rear window, and a wraparound LED light bar.

Honda 0 Series Platform Highlights

The Honda 0 Series models will offer:

  • Both single and dual-motor powertrain options
  • Newly engineered compact e-axles mounted lower within the vehicle for optimized space and aerodynamics
  • Three different e-axle configurations for varying performance needs

Specific powertrain options include:

  • Rear-wheel drive base models with a 245bhp rear motor
  • Dual-motor, all-wheel-drive versions combining a 68bhp front motor with a 245bhp rear motor

The battery pack will be integrated under the floor, designed to be roughly 8mm thinner than competitors. The 0 Series SUV is expected to use a nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery with a capacity between 80kWh and 90kWh, offering an estimated range of approximately 480 kilometers.

Additional Showcases at CES 2025

In addition to the EV concepts, Honda will also showcase:

  • A new proprietary vehicle operating system
  • Advancements in automated driving technologies
  • The System on Chip (SoC) powering the 0 Series models
  • A preview of Honda’s upcoming Software Defined Vehicles (SDV)
