Honor has launched the Honor GT, a new gaming smartphone aimed at competing with recent releases from Asus ROG, iQOO, and RedMagic. The Honor GT features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a focus on performance and gaming features.
While the Honor GT doesn't use the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite chip like some competitors, it is positioned with a lower starting price in China. It utilizes a 1200p and 120 Hz AMOLED display that can reach up to 4,000 nits with HDR content (1,200 nits full panel brightness). The display also boasts a 3,840 Hz PWM dimming to minimize eye strain.
The device is powered by a 5,300 mAh battery with 100W wired charging. It also features an optically stabilized 50MP primary camera, a 16MP front-facing camera, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. Honor has included several gaming software features and a new vapor chamber cooling system.
