HP's new EliteBook X G1a (or ZBook Ultra G1a) notebook has been spotted in an Energy Star certification, revealing it will feature AMD's upcoming "Strix Halo" APU, the Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 395. The "PRO" designation indicates a workstation-level version of the chip.
Ryzen AI MAX+ PRO 395 Specifications
The MAX+ PRO 395 APU is expected to include the following:
- 16 cores with a base clock of 2.90 GHz
- Support for up to 128GB of memory (DDR5 or LPDDR5)
The energy certification also provides power consumption figures, estimating 1.0W in sleep mode and up to 12.1W in short idle mode.
Two Base Configurations
The HP EliteBook X G1a will reportedly ship with two base configurations:
- Ryzen AI Max 390: 12 Zen5 cores with Radeon 8050S graphics (32 Compute Units)
- Ryzen AI Max 395: 16 Zen5 cores with 40 Compute Units RDNA 3.5 graphics
These integrated RDNA 3.5 graphics replace discrete GPU options.
