Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Update Adds Path Tracing, AMD FSR Coming Soon
MachineGames has released the first post-launch update for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, introducing highly anticipated path tracing support for NVIDIA RTX graphics cards. The update also includes bug fixes and promises future AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) support. Path Tracing for NVIDIA RTX The update enables full path tracing, adding ray-traced sun shadows, reflections, and indirect illumination. While visually impressive, the developers recommend at least 12GB of VRAM due to the high computational demands. YouTuber Tyrian's video showcases the significant visual improvements, though at the cost of substantial performance impact, even on an RTX 4080. Tyrian found that enabling DLSS Super Resolution (Performance mode) and DLSS Frame Generation mitigates the performance hit on the RTX 4080. However, an RTX 4090 remains the ideal choice for optimal path tracing performance until the RTX 5090 launches. AMD FSR Support Planned MachineGames acknowledges AMD users and prom…
