Leaked 3DMark Time Spy benchmarks reveal impressive performance for Intel's upcoming Arc B580 graphics card, putting it in competition with Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3080 and AMD's Radeon RX 7700 XT. This follows Intel's claim that the B580 performs similarly to the RTX 4060 Ti at a lower price.
A Chiphell user (via HXL on X) posted the benchmark results, showing the Arc B580 achieving a score of 15,551 points. The test system used an Intel Core i9-14900KF to minimize CPU bottlenecks. The graphics score was 14,719, and the CPU score was 22,881.
Performance Comparison
Here's how the Arc B580 stacks up against the competition:
GPU | 3DMark Time Spy Score |
---|---|
Intel Arc B580 | 15,551 |
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti | 13,872 |
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 | 16,134 |
AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT | 16,454 |
Intel Arc A770 | 14,047 |
The Arc B580 outperforms the RTX 4060 Ti by about 12% and comes close to the RTX 3080 and RX 7700 XT, trailing by only 3% and 6%, respectively. It also shows a significant 10% improvement over the previous-generation Arc A770.
While these synthetic benchmarks are promising, real-world gaming performance is crucial. Intel's Alchemist GPUs faced challenges translating synthetic performance into gaming, but the company has had time to improve its drivers. It will be interesting to see how the Arc B580 performs in actual games.
