Intel Arc B580 Limited Edition Teardown Reveals Samsung GDDR6 Memory

Despite a review embargo until December 12th, MyDrivers has published a teardown of the Intel Arc B580 Limited Edition graphics card, revealing interesting details about its design and components. The B580, marketed as a Limited Edition, is a special version designed by Intel for reviews and as a more affordable option. According to Intel's Tom Petersen, this card will have limited availability and won't be restocked once sold out. The card features a significantly smaller PCB compared to previous Arc generations, even though it uses the same BGM-G21 GPU. The new push-through cooler design leaves half of the heatsink exposed, and the PCB itself is quite short. The teardown reveals Samsung GDDR6 memory rated at 20 Gbps, although it runs at 19 Gbps out of the box. Intel has hinted that new software could potentially unlock speeds up to 22 Gbps.
