Leaked benchmarks of Intel's upcoming Arc B580 GPU show promising performance, exceeding both the RX 7600 XT and its predecessor, the Arc A580, in synthetic tests.
The Arc B580, priced at $249, is set to launch on December 13th. Intel claims it outperforms both the last-gen Arc A750 and the RTX 4060. Its 12GB of VRAM is a significant advantage in the current gaming landscape.
Benchmark Results
The Arc B580 achieved the following scores in Geekbench:
- OpenCL: 98,343
- Vulkan: 103,445
These scores position the B580 approximately 9% ahead of the A580 in OpenCL and a substantial 30% faster in Vulkan.
Benchmark | Arc B580 | Arc A580 | RX 7600 | RX 7600 XT | RTX 4060 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
OpenCL | 98,343 | ~89,000 | ~82,000 | ~84,000 | ~101,000 |
Vulkan | 103,445 | ~79,000 | ~91,000 | ~87,000 | ~97,000 |
Compared to the RX 7600 and RX 7600 XT, the Arc B580 leads by 20% and 17%, respectively, in OpenCL, and 14% and 18.5% in Vulkan.
While the RTX 4060 slightly outperforms the B580 in OpenCL by about 3%, the B580 is 6.5% faster in the Vulkan benchmark.
Though synthetic benchmarks offer a preliminary performance indication, real-world gaming performance remains to be seen. Reviews of retail Arc B580 samples are expected this week.
