Leaked packaging images suggest that Intel will bundle a cooler with its upcoming Core Ultra 200 non-K series CPUs, a departure from the company's current practice for the higher-performance K-series processors.
Intel has launched five Core Ultra 200 processors, none of which included a reference cooler. The K-series CPUs, designed for 125W TDP, are typically paired with higher-performance aftermarket air or liquid cooling solutions. However, Intel seems to be taking a different approach with the 65W non-K variants.
Bundled Cooler for Non-K CPUs
A packaging leak shared by momomo_us reveals that boxed versions of the Core Ultra 200 non-K series will be significantly larger than their K-series counterparts. This size difference strongly suggests that Intel will include a stock cooler with the non-K CPUs.
The non-K series boxes are plain blue, contrasting the exclusively black packaging for the K-series processors. This difference in packaging also indicates that Intel is clearly differentiating these product lines.
While the exact design of the LGA-1851 reference cooler remains unknown, it is likely similar to those used for the LGA-1700 socket.
