Intel has finally unveiled its second-generation discrete graphics cards, the Arc B580 and B570, based on the Xe2 architecture. Targeting mainstream gamers, these GPUs are priced under $250 and promise significant performance improvements.
Battlemage Architecture
The Battlemage GPUs utilize the BMG-G21 SoC, built on TSMC's 5nm process. This new architecture boasts a 70% performance improvement per Xe core and a 50% performance-per-watt uplift compared to the previous generation.

Performance
Intel claims the Arc B580 is 24% faster on average than the Arc A750 and 10% faster than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, while also offering more VRAM. It also boasts faster ray tracing performance than the competition.
Availability
The Intel Arc B580 will be available on December 13, 2024, with a Limited Edition version also offered. The Arc B570 will launch on January 16, 2025.
