The next generation iPad Pro, powered by the M5 chip, is on track for a late 2025 release, according to renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Kuo reports that mass production of the "iPad Pro equipped with the M5 processor" will begin in the second half of 2025.
This news is a win for BYD Electronics, which has reportedly secured the manufacturing contract for Apple's flagship tablet.
While the M4 chip, with its ~20% performance boost over the M3, already offers impressive power for a tablet, the M5 is expected to raise the bar even further. It's rumored to be Apple's first processor based on TSMC's cutting-edge 2nm architecture.
