Leaked photos of what appears to be a Google Pixel 9a prototype have surfaced online, revealing a significant design change. While the Pixel 9a isn't expected until next spring, these images suggest Google is moving away from its signature horizontal camera bar.
As previously hinted at in renders by OnLeaks, the Pixel 9a appears to have flat edges and a glass front and back. However, the traditional horizontal camera module has been replaced with a smaller, pill-shaped enclosure housing two lenses. This new design is reminiscent of the Nothing Phone (2a) or older iPhone models like the iPhone 8 Plus.
According to current rumors, the Pixel 9a is expected to feature:
- 6.3-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate
- Tensor G4 processor
- 8GB RAM and 256GB storage
- 5000mAh battery
- 48MP main camera and 13MP ultrawide camera
The Pixel 9a is expected to launch in late spring with a price tag of around $499.
