Blazing-Fast Storage

PCIe 5.0 SSDs offer roughly double the performance of their PCIe 4.0 predecessors, thanks to a data transfer rate of 32 GT/s per lane, compared to 16 GT/s. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Aura addresses the increased cooling demands of PCIe 5.0 SSDs with a dedicated heatsink, minimizing the risk of thermal throttling. The laptop uses the Sk Hynix PCB01 SSD, capable of sequential read and write speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s and 12,000 MB/s respectively (in the 2TB configuration).
