Mafia: The Old Country is Linear, Narrative-Driven, Powered by Unreal Engine 5

Nick Baynes, President of Hangar 13, stated:

"Mafia: The Old Country is a love letter to old-style, gritty Mafia stories where players can uncover the origins of organized crime...We can’t wait for players to experience the journey with Enzo."

A Focused Cinematic Experience

Publisher 2K describes the game as a "focused package" with a "graphically stunning cinematic experience." The story, set in the fictional Sicilian town of San Celeste, explores the brutal world of organized crime. Players will engage in dangerous combat, high-stakes stealth, and grounded gunplay mechanics.

Meet Enzo

Players will assume the role of Enzo, who survived a difficult childhood working in sulphur mines. He joins Don Torrisi's crime family, seeking a better life and committing himself to the family code. The game will feature horseback riding and driving in authentic turn-of-the-century cars as part of Enzo's journey.

Unreal Engine 5 and Release

Mafia: The Old Country is being developed with Epic's Unreal Engine 5, another major title adopting this engine. The game is set to release in Summer 2025 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
