MAXSUN is pushing the boundaries of graphics card design with its iCraft Arc B580, featuring not one, but Two M.2 SSD slots. This innovative approach utilizes unused PCIe lanes, providing additional storage options directly on the graphics card.
Intel's Arc B580 typically utilizes only 8 of the 16 available PCIe lanes. MAXSUN has cleverly repurposed the remaining lanes, creating two M.2 slots hidden beneath a long tri-fan cooler.
Removable M.2 Sleeve with Heatsink
MAXSUN has also designed a removable dual M.2 sleeve with a built-in heatsink. This sleeve installs behind the cooler, drawing power from the GPU and benefiting from improved cooling. Users won't even need to disassemble the card to install or remove the M.2 drives.
While ASUS recently introduced a single M.2 slot on its DUAL RTX 4060 Ti, MAXSUN's dual-slot design takes this concept further. This is particularly useful for Mini-ITX systems where PCIe slots are often limited.
Availability
Unfortunately, details about this specific iCraft model are scarce. MAXSUN hasn't listed it on their website or mentioned it in recent press releases. It appears this version will launch at a later date.
