Dimensity 9400+ Details

According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Dimensity 9400+ will likely feature higher CPU and GPU clock speeds than the Dimensity 9400. This move is likely aimed at competing more effectively with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. OPPO is rumored to launch three flagship phones with the Dimensity 9400+ in the first half of next year, featuring display sizes of 6.3, 6.6, and 6.8 inches.

Although the exact specifications of the Dimensity 9400+ are currently unknown, it's expected to have minor improvements over the Dimensity 9400, similar to the Dimensity 9300 and 9300+ launch strategy.

Potential upgrades include:

  • Higher CPU clock speeds
  • Faster APU
  • Slightly higher GPU frequency

Competition with Snapdragon 8 Elite

The Snapdragon 8 Elite's performance cores can boost to 4.57GHz with adequate cooling. The Dimensity 9400's Cortex-X925 reaches up to 3.63GHz. It is rumored that MediaTek might push the Dimensity 9400+ to around 3.70GHz. While the clock speed difference between the chips will still be significant, MediaTek aims to narrow the performance gap in both synthetic and real-world benchmarks.

Note: This information is based on rumors, and official specifications will determine the actual performance of the Dimensity 9400+.
