Meta Announces Construction of its Largest Data Center
Meta is building its largest data center yet in Richland Parish, Louisiana. This $10 billion investment will cover 4 million square feet and support the company's growing AI initiatives. The new data center is expected to create over 500 permanent jobs and employ more than 5,000 workers during peak construction, significantly boosting the local economy. Meta chose Richland Parish due to its robust infrastructure, reliable energy grid, business-friendly environment, and strong community support. In collaboration with Entergy, the regional energy provider, Meta is committed to powering the facility with 100% renewable energy. The project will add 1,500 megawatts of new renewable energy to the local grid. Meta has not yet announced the expected completion or operational date for the data center.
