A new Xbox controller, codenamed Sebile, featuring DualSense-like haptics is still on track for release, and it's expected to debut alongside the next-generation Xbox console. The existence of the Sebile controller was first revealed in a leaked Microsoft document from the FTC vs. Microsoft legal battle in September 2023. The leaked information indicated improvements such as enhanced wireless connectivity, direct-to-cloud connection, Bluetooth 5.2, new modular thumbsticks, replaceable and rechargeable batteries, and, most notably, haptic feedback similar to the PlayStation 5's DualSense controller. Patent Confirms Haptic Technology A recently published patent linked to the Sebile controller confirms the focus on haptic technology. The patent describes a device with a haptic motor attached to a connector that generates feedback by moving relative to the controller's housing.
