Foldable laptops are becoming increasingly common, but often come with compromises like increased weight and thickness. Many users also find themselves using separate wireless keyboards, negating some of the benefits of a foldable design. This new prototype aims to address these shortcomings with a haptic keyboard based on linear motor technology, integrated directly into one half of the device.

While the leaker, Digital Chat Station, hasn't revealed the OEM behind this concept, speculation points towards Huawei, given their experience with foldable technology, particularly the Mate XT. This laptop could be the next logical step for Huawei, following their success with tri-folding smartphones.

The rumored laptop is expected to have a MateBook X-style ultrabook form-factor. To maintain a slim and light profile, it might utilize Huawei's Kirin series processors and in-house NM storage, similar to their proprietary memory cards.
