Following the release of the Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta for the CMF Phone 1, the same update is now available for the Phone (2a) Plus (currently priced at $409.50 with 12GB of RAM on Amazon). The Dimensity 7350-powered Phone (2a) Plus and the original Phone (1) now have access to this first taste of Android 15.

The Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta for both phones shares the same changelog as the CMF Phone 1 beta, introducing new charging and lockscreen animations as well as cross-device Shared Widgets and improved Camera Widget functionality.

Beta Risks and Rollback

Nothing has cautioned that the Open Beta program for all three phones comes with increased chances of instability and data loss. Although both the Phone (1) and (2a) Plus versions have the option to roll back to Android 14, doing so is not recommended at this time due to the risk of unforseen errors and data loss during the process.
